Taking a break from their summer jobs, several brothers went to the Huntsville Air Show on Saturday. The show started off with a performance by the Army's Golden Knights, who are an elite parachuting team. Several other acts followed such as stunt planes, biplanes, and even a jet-powered van. The grand finale was the Navy's Blue Angels who put on a stellar performance to the amazement of the sun-burned crowd. UPDATE: After hearing about the terrible events that took place on Sunday, we offer our condolences to any victims. We also thank the Huntsville fire, medical, and polic departments who were quick to act.

Celebrating the end of a school year and the beginning of summer, several alumni and active fraternity men recently traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a 4 day backpacking trip along the Appalachian Trail. The brothers started at Tremont (research institute), hiked up to the Spence Field shelter on the AT, then followed the AT down past Russell Field, Thunderhead Mountain, and the official "Rocky Top". They then dropped off the AT and walked in a roundabout loop back to Tremont, stopping to see some beautiful waterfalls along the way. Look for a definite return trip to the smokies coming soon!
